Project Ganesh

Project GANESH is co-founded by a friend and supporter, Richard Stocker. Project GANESH is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in the USA. Project GANESH aims to:
* Rebuild, rejuvenate and rededicate temples upon which villages in India rely. In the process Project GANESH will help to preserve some of Hinduism’s most important but neglected monuments for future generations of devotees. Project GANESH selects temples for support based on community need, spiritual or historical importance and the degree of urgency to save the temple.
* Support the villages around the temples with development funds and sustainable projects to help develop a vital economy that will be able to support the temple as well as the community.
* Strongly support the educational needs of India’s youth, particularly in rural areas. Project GANESH will actively support educational institutes at all levels, with a particular focus on the educational development of girls.

California Residents for Health Care for All

SB 840 is a bill written by Sheila Kuehl which wisely, compassionately and economically provides health care for all Californians. As a healthcare practitioner (Licensed Acupuncturist and herbalist), qigong teacher and healer, I have seen so many people suffer for lack of healthcare insurance. The United States is the only industrialized nation in the world which doesn't provide healthcare for its citizens.

WSPA World Society for the Protection of Animals - ACHIEVING BALANCE Traditional Medicine in the 21st Century - Ancient practices and new trends & technology meet as Traditional medicine moves into the 21st century to embrace an earth-friendly philosophy.

Often in my practice of Chinese Medicine, patients would request that their herb formulas be free of animal products, as the media usually focused on the use of animal parts or extracts in their reports on Chinese herbal medicine. A majority of those of us who practice Chinese medicine have avoided using medicinal substances which are made from animals. If the mistreatment of animals and preservation of species is a concern of yours, you may want to visit the WSPA website.
